Parts Manager
Life before Barkaways:
My 34 year career in the automotive parts trade began straight from school, working for a main dealer, specialising in Austin Rover, Land Rover, Range Rover, Jaguar and Rolls Royce. I then moved into a management team of a national motor factors, specialising in engine, automotive, commercial and PSV components. Most recently I held the position of service manager in a Kent garage owned by a charity who help young troubled teenagers to gain an apprenticeship in the motor trade.
What did you want to be when growing up?
Barry Sheen or Even Knievel stunt double.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Sunday morning Enduro on my Husqvarna 300TE or a good bottle of red wine.
What was your first car?
Mini van I personalised by putting wide wheels & aches, single back door with a blown rear window tinted brown, and resprayed in chocolate brown. Fitted big bore exhaust and twin carbs etc.. just to be original!
What music do you have playing in your car now and why?
XFM - love a bit of rock to sing along to.
